The Primary Care and Health Workforce Expansion Act, which would reauthorize oral health workforce grants, was introduced in the Senate.
The legislation reauthorizes funding for state oral health workforce grants, oral health training programs, National Health Service Corps and teaching health center graduate medical education and community health centers, according to an Aug. 4 news release from the American Dental Association.
The bill also includes the creation of a pilot program to train dentists, dental hygienist and dental assistants at federally qualified health centers, tribal health centers and rural health centers.
