The Medi-Cal Dental program has created online care coordination to make dental care more accessible in California, according to a Nov. 5 news release from the California Dental Association.
Here are three things to know:
1. The Department of Health Care Services created an online care coordination referral form to help streamline the process for Medi-Cal Dental.
2. The form and program increases accessibility to care coordination services, assisting with scheduling dental visits, connecting patients with providers and coordinating additional services for patients.
3. In addition, dentists who are part of Medi-Cal can participate in children's presumptive eligibility.
