Program for individuals without dental insurance launches in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Dental Association launched a new program that serves as an alternative to dental insurance.

The WDA Dental Savings Club allows members to save up to 55% on oral healthcare from Wisconsin Dental Association member dentists. The program reduces costs for individuals that do not have enough dental coverage or none at all, according to a July 10 news release.

The program covers almost all dental procedures, including cosmetic and elective, and has no annual maximums and no reimbursement forms or paperwork.

The WDA Dental Savings Clubs was created through a partnership between the WDA and Skygen, and is the first program of its kind to be sponsored by a state dental association.

At its launch, the program provided access to dentists at more than 400 access points throughout Wisconsin and is working to add more dentists to the network.

Memberships opened to the public July 1, the release said.
