Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is introducing expanded dental benefits for its members with mental health conditions.
All commercial plan members with a mental health condition will be eligible to receive additional preventive services such as more frequent cleanings and fluoride treatment at no extra cost, according to a Dec. 13 news release from BCBS of Massachusetts.
Members with mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome and autism can take part in the program.
Blue Cross' dental plan surpassed more than 1 million members earlier in 2023, the release said.
