The industry average level of overall satisfaction regarding dental plans has dropped 1.8 percent from 2021, according to the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Dental Plan Satisfaction Study.
The study, released June 14, analyzed responses from 1,263 dental plan members and was conducted from March to April. The study measures customer satisfaction with dental plan providers based on five factors, in order of importance: cost; coverage; communications; customer service; and claims and reimbursement.
The industry average customer satisfaction ranking in 2021 was 778 compared to this year's score of 764.
