Here are five dental industry executives that have stepped down from their roles since the start of 2025:
1. David Maywhoor, the director of the National Coalition of Dentists for Health Equity, will step down from his role March 31 to pursue other passions.
2. Kenneth Chance Sr., DDS, will step down from his role as dean of Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine Dec. 31. He will continue to work with the school as a faculty member.
3. Nader Nadershahi, DDS, resigned as dean of San Francisco-based Dugoni School of Dentistry of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.
4. Raymond Cohlmia, DDS, resigned as executive director of the American Dental Association, effective immediately. The ADA Board of Trustees named Elizabeth Shapiro, DDS, as interim executive director.
5. Dan Holtzclaw, DDS, resigned from his role as director of specialty implant services at Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care to serve as president of Holzklau Full Arch Implant Consulting.
