Biolase, a dental and medical laser system company, has added Kenneth Yale, DDS, to its board of directors.
Dr. Yale also serves on the board of visitors at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore and is a consultant to the Defense Department, according to a May 9 news release.
Before his current roles, Dr. Yale held leadership positions at Delta Dental, Aetna and UnitedHealth Group, among other healthcare organizations.
"Dr. Yale brings more than 20 years of senior executive experience in entrepreneurial and large healthcare companies, managing teams facing rapid growth and change, and creating breakthrough innovations in healthcare products and services," said Jonathan Lord, MD, chair of the Biolase board. "His extensive dental experience and industry knowledge complement the diverse makeup of our board, which is now comprised of a majority of dentists."
