Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health held its 14th annual Smile Generation Serve Day, donating more than $16.5 million in dental services.
Since its founding in 2011, the event has provided more than $74 million in dental care to more than 35,000 patients, according to a Sept. 16 news release.
The purpose of the event is to highlight the importance of oral health in the context of overall health and to provide care to individuals facing barriers to accessing dental care.
The $16.5 million in donated services set a new record, surpassing the $10.4 million from the day last year.
PDS Health partnered with nonprofit organizations including After Innocence, Empowered Network, Hire Heroes USA, Project 150, Special Olympics and The Boyce L. Ansley School for the event, the release said.
