Heartland Dental and PDS Health have positioned themselves to finish 2024 on a high note through technological advancements, organic and inorganic growth and improvements in patient care.
Becker's recently spoke to executives from these companies to discuss their roadmaps for the rest of the year. Here is what they have planned:
Heartland Dental (Effingham, Ill.)
Heartland Dental opened 55 practices and affiliated with 21 other practices in 14 states through June. Heartland Dental and VideaHealth also completed the largest dental AI rollout in history earlier this year after the DSO added VideaHealth's technology to its network. In addition to these accomplishments, the company was included in Newsweek's "America's Greatest Workplaces" and "America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity" lists.
Stephanie Townsend, Heartland Dental's senior vice president of operations, told Becker's that for the rest of 2024, the DSO plans to focus on driving growth at its existing offices, expanding its network through de novos and affiliations and continuing to foster a supportive culture for its providers and team members.
PDS Health (Henderson, Nev.)
PDS Health hit a major milestone earlier this year when it added its 1,000th office. The company also rebranded to cement itself as a leader in the dental-medical integration space, an area it plans to continue expanding in this year.
"For the rest of 2024 and beyond, our goals include completing our rebranding efforts and establishing new business units across dental, medical, specialties, health technologies, innovation, and plans," Stephen Thorne, the company's CEO and founder, told Becker's. "Our focus remains on supporting our clinicians, improving patient care, and expanding our impact on overall health outcomes."
Dan Burke, PDS Health's chief enterprise strategy officer, also told Becker's the company plans to also focus on de novo growth this year, which will include several integrated practices.
