Here are seven DSOs and dental groups that have expanded their networks through practice additions, affiliations, acquisitions and partnerships in the South, as reported by Becker's since June 24:
1. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental added a practice in Port Orange, Fla. and Olive Branch, Miss.
2. Chicago-based Shore Capital Partners, a private equity firm, founded Innovate 32, a DSO based in Nashville, Tenn. and partnered with Clint Newman, DDS, who has a group of practices in Nashville.
3. Dallas-based Beacon Oral Specialists added Vero Beach (Fla.) Surgical Arts to its network.
4. Jonesboro, Ark.-based GPS Dental hit 90 offices after adding five practices to its network, including one in Jacksonville, Fla.
5. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health reached the 1,000-practice milestone by opening a practice in Charleston, S.C.
6. Dallas-based MB2 Dental made its first addition in South Carolina by partnering with Pray Family Dentistry in Anderson.
7. Irving, Texas-based Specialized Dental Partners partnered with Midlands Endodontics in Lexington, S.C.
