From new DSO launches to practice affiliations, here are seven updates on specialty DSOs and MSOs that have taken place since Sept. 20:
1. Irving, Texas-based Specialized Dental Partners added practices in Illinois, Texas, New York and Arizona.
2. Frisco, Texas-based Bond Orthodontic Partners added Beglin Orthodontics to its network.
3. Nashville, Tenn.-based Southern Orthodontics Partners affiliated with Reed Orthodontics.
4. Dallas-based Smile Doctors, an orthodontics-focused DSO, introduced a joint venture partnership model for its partner doctors.
5. Thurston Group, a private equity investment firm, launched Modis Dental Partners, a dental implant-focused DSO.
6. Southlake, Texas-based Allied OMS announced it has tripled its growth by adding 30 practices to its network since its launch in 2020.
7. Max Surgical Specialty Management, a surgeon-led oral and maxillofacial surgical partnership platform, launched Sept. 20.
