Meet the nine-person executive team leading the company:
Stephen Thorne. Founder and CEO: Mr. Thorne founded PDS in 1994. In addition to his leadership at PDS, he also serves as president of the Dental Group Practice Association and sits on the executive committee of the CEO Leadership Alliance of Orange County.
Scott Beck. Vice Chairman: Mr. Beck has served as a strategic consultant to Founder and CEO Stephen Thorne since 2005 and became vice chairman in 2012. He has more than 35 years of experience working with retail and technology companies, including serving as vice chair and COO of Blockbuster Entertainment Corp. Worldwide. He is also an investor and board member for other companies, such as Ancestry.com.
Brady Aase. Senior Vice President of Strategic Market Development and Support: Mr. Aase joined PDS in 1996 in the company's finance department and served in various roles before becoming CFO. He was appointed to his current position in 2019.
David Baker. Chief Information and Digital Officer and Senior Vice President of Technology: Mr. Baker joined PDS in 2016. He is credited with helping the company stabilize IT services and stay on top of technological innovations. He was named one of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2016.
Dan Burke. Chief Enterprise Strategy Officer and General Counsel: Before joining PDS in 2011, Mr. Burke held senior management positions at several global companies in retail, manufacturing and consumer products. He serves on the Medical-Dental Integration Steering Committee for the National Association for Chronic Disease Directors.
Joe Feldsien. Senior Vice President of Clinical Technology Enablement: Before joining PDS in 2004, Mr. Feldsien worked in sales and marketing at 3M Corp for 11 years. At PDS, he helps clinical professionals in several areas, including clinical excellence, development, partnerships, communications and recruiting.
Taylor Hawes. CFO: Mr. Hawes joined Pacific Dental Services in 2019 with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing and software industries under his belt. He is a member of the International Accounting Standards Board advisory council and a member of the advisory board at the University of California's Leventhal School of Accounting in Los Angeles.
Joanna Rodgers. Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Vice President of People: Ms. Rodgers has served in all levels of management for PDS since joining in 1995. She oversees several departments, including people and learning departments, communications, marketing, events and the Pacific Dental Services Foundation. She received the company's Career Champion Award in 2014.
Jon Thorne. COO and Senior Vice President of Operations: Mr. Thorne has been with PDS since its establishment in 1994, serving in multiple operations roles during the company's growth. He oversees several national support departments for PDS, including patient relations, de novo and new markets, real estate and purchasing.
