Heartland Dental (Effingham, Ill.)
- Four Corners Property Trust, a real estate investment trust, acquired a Heartland Dental property in Missouri for $2.6 million.
- The DSO gained initial approval to build a new dental office in Glen Carbon, Ill.
Aspen Dental (Chicago)
- Aspen Dental experienced a cyberattack on its scheduling system in April. The hack caused Aspen Dental to lose access to its scheduling system and other business applications. The DSO said it did not have any reason to believe that patient data and information was compromised.
Pacific Dental Services (Irvine, Calif.)
- The DSO most recently honored the first graduate from its college advancement program.
- Pacific Dental Services announced in April that it opened 19 practices since the start of 2023.
MB2 Dental (Carrollton, Texas)
- MB2 Dental added several practices in California, Florida, Nevada, New York, North Carolina and Utah.
- The DSO secured a delayed-draw term loan of $150 million.
Western Dental (Orange, Calif.)
- Western Dental opened an office in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
- Western Dental issued a refund to a patient who was left without treatment after her dental practice underwent changes following its sale to the DSO.
Affordable Care (Morrisville, N.C.)
- A patient filed a lawsuit against Affordable Dentures & Implants, a brand of Affordable Care, and an Oklahoma dentist after allegedly receiving treatment from an unlicensed dental technician.
- Affordable Care opened an Affordable Dentures & Implants practice in Sanford, N.C., and North Phoenix, Ariz.
Dental Care Alliance (Sarasota, Fla.)
- Dental Care Alliance added Chandler, Ariz.-based Lakeview Dental Care and Austell (Ga.) Dental Associates to its network.
