Chicago-based Aspen Dental experienced a cyberattack on its scheduling system, according to an April 26 report by Fox 13 Tampa Bay.
The hack caused Aspen Dental to lose access to its scheduling system and other business applications, according to a spokesperson from the company.
Aspen Dental said it does not currently have any reason to believe that patient data and information was compromised due to the attack and is working to bring the systems back online.
The DSO has more than 1,000 dental practices across 43 states and provides care to more than 30,000 patients each day.
