An Ecuadorian man was sentenced for conspiracy to introduce misbranded drugs into interstate commerce.
Daniel Pinos, 30, reportedly traveled to the U.S. several times to provide dental care and prescription drugs in return for payment, despite not being licensed to do either. Law enforcement seized misbranded drugs and medical and dental equipment from Mr. Pinos in September 2024, according to a Feb. 19 news release from the Department of Justice.
Mr. Pinos was sentenced to one year of non-reporting probation and a $100 special assessment.
