The Arkansas Army National Guard opened an in-house dental clinic in North Little Rock, Ark., on Dec. 8.
The dental treatment facility keeps soldiers dentally ready to deploy by performing dental treatments such as fillings and cleanings, according to a Dec. 8 news release.
Initial costs of the clinic including equipment purchases and operating supplies were about $250,000.
The clinic opening marks the fourth state National Guard to authorize Army Guard dentists to treat Guardsmen in drill or annual training status, the release said.
