Texas dental clinic employee sentenced for bribery scheme

A Texas dental clinic employee was sentenced to six years in prison for his role in a $6 million fraud and bribery scheme.

Ifeanyi Ozoh was found guilty in February of paying marketers for each Medicaid-insured child that was referred to Floss Family Dental Care in Houston, totaling more than $163,000 in bribes. The clinic also billed Medicaid over $6 million, receiving more than $4 million, much of which was for services that were often not provided.

Mr. Ozoh was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and was ordered to pay $4.9 million in restitution to Medicaid, according to a Nov. 13 news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas.
