A Texas woman was recently charged with violating the Texas Dentistry Act, Click2Houston reported Oct. 23.
Angelica Vivas, 41, allegedly posed as a licensed dentist and performed a root canal on a patient in February. The patient reportedly experienced severe pain following the procedure.
Undercover officers visited Ms. Vivas' office as part of an investigation, during which she allegedly claimed to be a dentist and offered to perform dental work on them.
Ms. Vivas was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 24.
