Here are four dental schools that have launched new dental programs or announced plans to add new dental education offerings, as reported by Becker's since Aug. 23:
1. The University of Detroit Mercy and the Vermont State Dental Society are opening a dental oral health education center in 2027.
2. Northeast Ohio Medical University in Cleveland earned initial accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation for its college of dentistry to move forward with its plan to add a DDS program.
3. Colorado Mountain College Vail Valley at Edwards launched a new dental hygiene program and opened a new facility for the program.
4. Grants Pass, Ore.-based Rogue Community College received accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation for its new dental hygiene program.
