From leadership changes to new MSO affiliations, here are seven oral surgery-related updates that have taken place since July 29:
1. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management added five surgeons to its practices in August.
2. Sohail Malad joined St. Louis-based Oral Surgery Partners as its new CEO Aug. 12.
3. The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons created new guidance for evaluating, diagnosing and treating patients with temporomandibular joint disorders and intra-articular pain and dysfunction.
4. Hackensack, N.J.-based Max Surgical Specialty Management hired Brian Lawson to be its senior vice president of business development.
5. Cumming, Ga.-based OMS360 added Joshua Everts, DDS, MD, as its first chief clinical officer.
6. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management was awarded the Association for DSO's 2024 Emerging Award.
7. Southlake, Texas-based Allied OMS added Phoenix Oral and Facial Surgery to its network.
