New York City-based Aire Dental Arts recently experienced a data breach.
The practice said it became aware in June that certain computer systems were inaccessible because of a malicious file encryption. The practice then engaged forensic specialists to investigate the incident. That investigation determined that a threat actor gained access to a limited number of the practice's systems and that certain files in those systems were accessed.
Aire Dental Arts has not yet received any reports of fraudulent misuse of the information potentially impacted by the event, according to a notice on the company's website.
