Many dental offices in Florida closed ahead of Hurricane Debby's landfall Aug. 5.
Hurricane Debby made landfall during the morning of Aug. 5 as a Category 1 hurricane with 80 mph winds, NBC News reported. The hurricane has led to heavy rainfall, flooding and thousands of people without power. Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis also declared a state of emergency for 61 counties.
Heritage Dental in Lady Lake, Fla., posted on its Facebook page Aug. 5 that it would be closed because of a power outage caused by the hurricane. Rose Dental in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., and Ortega Boulevard Dental in Jacksonville, Fla., also announced their closings online.
