A Washington oral surgeon recently surrendered his license.
Thomas Laney, DDS, MD, allegedly practiced below the standard of care while treating a patient who experienced complications during a dental extraction, according to a May 21 news release from the Washington Medical Commission.
Dr. Laney surrendered both his dental and medical licenses, according to state records.
Dr. Laney will not be able to renew or reactivate his license, the state said.
