Dentistry saw the most mergers and acquisitions in 2023 compared to 13 other medical specialties, according to VMG Health's 2024 Healthcare M&A Report.
VMG Health reported that M&A activity among physician medical groups was strong in 2023 but still lower compared to 2022, seeing a 14% decline. Overall, the advisory firm said it expects the pace of M&A activity to continue to pick up in 2024.
