Dental Group of Amarillo (Texas) experienced a data breach, with an unauthorized party gaining access to the company's network.
DGA recently completed a forensic investigation into the incident, revealing that certain files were accessed on DGA's network between Oct. 3 and Oct. 19, 2023, according to a notice from DGA.
DGA learned that patient data was included in the files that were accessed on Jan. 9, 2024.
Patient information that may have been accessed includes names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, health information, dental insurance information, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers.
At this point, DGA is not aware of any fraudulent activity as a result of the breach, the notice said.
DGA has practice locations in Amarillo, Dumas and Canyon, Texas, according to its website.
