A New Mexico man has pleaded not guilty to threatening dental office staff for not seeing him without an appointment.
Authorities began investigating Edward Laning Gordon July 11 after several incidents allegedly involving death threats. Mr. Gordon allegedly showed up at a dental office in Roswell, N.M., requesting treatment without an appointment and then became aggressive with staff. Mr. Gordon left the office after being scheduled for an appointment. Mr. Gordon later called the dental office and threatened to kill the staff during his next appointment.
He was charged with malicious threat to injure by fire and explosives earlier this month.
Court records show Mr. Gordon pleaded not guilty to the charge during his April 22 arraignment.
A hearing for the case is scheduled for May 16.
