A New Mexico man was recently charged with threatening to kill dental staff for not seeing him without an appointment, Border Report reported April 19.
Authorities began investigating Edward Laning Gordon July 11 after several incidents allegedly involving death threats. Mr. Gordon allegedly showed up at a dental office in Roswell, N.M., requesting treatment without an appointment and then became aggressive with staff. Mr. Gordon left the office after being scheduled for an Aug. 2 appointment.
Mr. Gordon later called the dental office and threatened to kill the staff during his Aug. 2 appointment.
Police were also made aware of other threats allegedly made by Mr. Gordon, including threats to burn down an apartment building and kill a police officer.
Mr. Gordon was charged with malicious threat to injure by fire and explosives. He is scheduled for arraignment April 22 in federal court.
