A New Mexico dentist recently received three years of probation for practicing dentistry without a license, KOB4 reported Oct. 25.
William Gardner, DDS, was arrested a second time for practicing dentistry without a license in August. He was previously accused of practicing unlicensed dentistry in January 2022.
The New Mexico Board of Dental Health Care revoked Dr. Gardner's dental license in 2019 after he was accused of submitting fraudulent claims to insurers and treating patients with a suspended license.
Dr. Gardner pleaded no contest to the charges of tax fraud and practicing dentistry without a license, the news station reported. He received a probation deal for the allegations of practicing dentistry without a license. The deal also included admission that he previously violated probation for the tax fraud charges.
