Here are four dental updates that have taken place in the dental industry since Aug. 1:
1. Brident Dental & Orthodontics, a dental brand of Sonrava Health, opened its first location in Englewood, Colo.
2. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental affiliated with Implant & General Dentistry of Northern Colorado.
3. Julia Plevnia, DDS, owner and partner of Dry Creek Oral Surgery in Parker and Englewood, Colo., received the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons' humanitarian award.
4. A former employee at Oral Surgery Specialists of Pueblo (Colo.) filed a federal lawsuit against the practice, claiming discrimination against women.
