Formlabs Dental, a 3D printing company, recently earned FDA 510(k) medical device clearance for its Premium Teeth Resin.
The authorization gives clearance for the nano-ceramic filled resin to be used for 3D printing temporary single units of crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers, as well as up to seven-unit temporary bridges, according to an Aug. 6 news release.
The resin was previously granted these clearances in the European Union, the company said.
