West Coast vs. East Coast: Where dental assistants earn more

Dental assistants can earn an average of $55,960 in Oregon, the highest-paying state for dental assistants on the West Coast, compared to $54,190 in North Hampshire, the highest-paying state on the East Coast.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics updated salary data for dental jobs to reflect 2023 information on April 3. 

Here is the average annual salary for dental assistants in states on the West Coast and East Coast:
